December 2020

Week One

A group of thirty students from Carmel College begin to prepare the boxes for Christmas hampers to go out this year.

A total of 65 families and 150 children will be given a basic food parcel including toiletry and hygiene items, a bag of sweet treats and toys to celebrate the season with.

All made possible through your donations and support.

Week Two

National Volunteer Week was on 21-27 June. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we were unable to host our annual volunteer's luncheon. So we prepared a surprise morning tea for our team of 68 volunteers who dedicated all their time and effort to assisting us wherever and whenever possible in 2020.

Thank you De Paul House volunteers!

Week Three

The donations of food, toys and treats have been plenty! With volunteer assistance from AIA, we were able to pack each family their Christmas parcels.

We also received a generous gift from Whoa! Studios, free tickets to The Mad Hatter's Funky Christmas show which was on from the 21st November - 20th December. 16 families from De Paul House got to attend. It was an experience that was thouroughly enjoyed by all.

Thank you Whoa! Studios.

Week Four

The last of the Christmas hampers were picked up. In total, 95 families and 260 children were provided with food, treats and toys!

The office will be closed 25th - 28th December 2020 and 1st - 4th January 2021.

Thank you to all local church, community and business organisations for your kindness and contribution in 2020!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
